What Are People Saying About “In His Very Steps”

Book One in the “In His Very Steps” series is already ministering to people – as we can see from the following, unsolicited comments:

“In His Very Steps [was] wonderful. It made me cry and it made me laugh. God challenges each of us wherever we are in life. In the ordinary we can find the extraordinary with God’s help. Miracles happen every day but we are much more likely to see God in our living. Very good work!”

~ Debbie (Shamong, New Jersey)

“I love it soooo much!! I can honestly say that the book has changed my life. It’s amazing!! You did such a great job and I cannot wait for the next one. I’m actually getting a copy… to give to my brother-in-law for Christmas.”

~ Emily (Knoxville, Tennessee)

New Book Uses Fiction to Teach People How to Apply the Bible to Everyday Life

CHARLESTON, SC – November 7, 2011 – Theologian, teacher, and veteran pastor Dr. Charles Williams, a CCSD employee, has launched the first book in the “In His Very Steps” Christian fiction series. The book, What Does the Bible Say? is now available in paperback format at ihvsbooks.com and Amazon.com; it will soon be available to major bookstores through Baker & Taylor and Ingram distributors. e-Book formats are available for Kindles, Nooks, and Sony Readers.

Ten years in the making, “In His Very Steps” emphasizes Christ-centered discipleship and Christian education using an involved, fictional narrative based on the author’s 17-years in ministry. The book encourages Christians to address the mistakes of life by returning to the cornerstone of their faith – the Bible, and calls non-Christians to embrace Jesus Christ as God’s perfect model of obedience. Readers will follow the Reverend Jim Harter as he leads the congregation of First Church Kingston to accept responsibility for life’s choices, confess their sin to God, and look within the Bible for answers to faith, life, business, and romance.

Want to hear the “real” Ashley?

One of the principle characters in my forthcoming book is Ashley Nichols – a graduate from a Christian College and a gifted singer who loves the Lord heart, mind, and soul. Ashley is based on my own daughter, Ashley Williams Adams. She and her husband, Josh, have a thriving ministry at First Baptist Church, Hemingway, South Carolina. In fact, Josh’s band, Cross Covenant, recently opened for the famed Christian rock group Seventh Day Slumber during a Freedom Fest concert, July 2, 2011.

The Cross Covenant band was in the studio recording today and Ashley – the REAL Ashley, is featured in their new release, “I Will Not Drown.” So if you interested in hearing the REAL voice that has already lead many to Jesus Christ, check out the demo at page on Facebook at http://listn.to/CrossCovenant

An IHVS Teaser from Ashley’s Diary: Trevor Proposed Today

I ran into Trevor today after having lunch with his precious mother, Miz Hope. He asked me to marry him again, and he even told me he would wait forever it necessary. As flattering as that is, I’m hesitant to commit my life to a man who seems to be swayed by the world around him. Of course, I told him that I couldn’t marry him because of what I know about his playboy lifestyle. I guess time will tell whether he is genuine or not. In the meantime, I’m going to concentrate on the next step in my fulfilling my pledge with Pastor Harter by reading my Bible everyday.

Help me, Lord… you know I love Trevor, but I love you most of all.
